Adventures in Taylor Land - 3

The never ending story, or so it seems.

I was sitting on the couch playing the Taylor when I flipped the pickup switch for the bridge pickup to be greeted with no sound at all. Great!

Took the plate that covers the electrics area and wiggled the plug that comes from the bridge pickup and got a sound but it disappared as soon as I let it go. Became a little more vigorous and all seems well.

That's Taylor quality for you. Wouldn't want that to happen in the middle of a gig.

I emailed Taylor describing the issue and had to wait a month for a reply! They stated that this should not be happening. Really! They also advised me that if I was handy with a soldering iron I could solder the pickup wires directly to the circuit board. Wow, now there's a cop out. A less than good design yet again.

Still very happy with the guitar, still disappointed in Taylors quality management.
